The NIHON TECHNO Group provides services to create electricity, protect electricity and use electricity smartly with the key phrase “everything to do with electricity from upstream to downstream.” Since commencing sales of the ES SYSTEM, which conducts 24-hour surveillance of high-voltage equipment, in 1996 we have always valued an attitude of “not abandoning the customers we see before us.” Seriously addressing issues no matter the circumstance has led to the “trust” we enjoy from 71,800* customers nationwide. Together with our customers, we are always thinking about our path so as not to undermine such trust.

The environment surrounding the electric power industry is changing at a dizzying pace. Retail sales of electric power have been steadily liberalized since 2000, with the opening up to new participants in the general household sector in 2016. Full-fledged entry of new power producers and suppliers (at the time PPS, special scale electric power suppliers) commenced from 2009. We fulfilled our obligations as a retail electricity company by owning our own electricity generation sources, while utilizing our own demand forecast system and protecting our obligation to secure supply capacity. The stable supply of electric power and uninterrupted service to customers cannot be neglected regardless of difficulties. Having maintained this belief since our foundation, we have continued our steady growth and survived despite the successive withdrawal of new power producers and suppliers and the onslaught of soaring fuel prices impacting the entire sector.

We will also aim for sustained growth over the next 5 and 10 years. We will put our efforts into dissemination of information and relationship building so that customers can maximize the use of our long-time advocated “rising and falling demand responses.” We will provide electric power consulting through the “visualization” and “comprehension” of electricity as a pillar based on our business foundation of retail sales of electric power and the safety management and inspection of high-voltage electrical equipment. We believe that “rising and falling demand responses” will benefit customers as well as society. Through further promotion of this, we will contribute to society as a company that effectively uses renewable energy and works towards the elimination of tight electricity demand and supply.

We will also remain diligent towards solving social issues through our business. Regarding the decline in electrical safety management personnel, we will promote ease of work for electrical management engineers, who are our valued partners, and strive to cultivate the next generation of personnel. We will become smarter about safety operations and achieve improved services for our customers. Regarding the issue of business succession due to the absence of successors, we are expanding business matching services to connect a customer’s skills and history with the next generation and will strive to prevent the closure of as many customers as possible.

We will continue our business, while being mindful of targets to achieve SDGs, by promoting work style reforms, complying with our CSR policy, and sincerely implementing initiatives to solve environmental issues. This is based on the major premise that we will protect the safety of “electricity,” which is the important driving force for our corporate activities.
